Just kidding, apparently it's only visible to admin - I'll figure out what's going on and try and fix it.

You might want to either do group permissions.
So All members can read/write in said (wicked) forum.
Or group permit all can read.
But select individuals who can post.
Another alternative is to allow all to see.
But not post.
Then...
If a post/thread merits moving into said (wicked) forum.
Have Admin/Moderators do it.

I'd certainly consider allowing even guests being able to view this too.
It may be the final clincher to them signing up.

There is now a "How To" forum that has been added under the General category for all people to view but members only to post.
